CBSE informed Supreme Court that taking into account suggestion from states, the exam from july 1 to 15 of class 10 and 12 stands cancelled. However,they have given option to class 12 to appear for exams when situations get improved.  During hearing Solicitor General Tushar Mehta submitted the response filed by HRD Ministry and CBSE.

It was observed in the order that unbecoming of the victim to have fallen asleep after being ravished. He was employed by the complainant from past two years. It was alleged that accused had sexual relations with the complainant on the false pretext of marriage. The incident on the night when the accused went into
