Fares of trains and buses not to be received from the workers, and State Government’s to make sure that the workers board the trains and buses on the decided dates administering the registration records: Supreme Court

The supreme court considering the problematic situation of the workers who was stuck all over India has pronounced big decision. The court ordered the fares of buses and trains would not be taken from the workers and the considered States have to provide food and water to the workers. 

The Bench of Justice Ashok Bhushan, Justice Sanjay Kaul and Justice MR Shah stated that the fares of the workers are to be shared by the concerned States.

The court ordered that the residing workers should provide food and water by the concerned States on the stations from where the shall depart.

The railways are to provide food and water while the journey is under process. The state would administer the registrations and determine that the trains and buses are available on the decided dates. The whole information should reach all the desired people in proper manner and be determined by the states. The next date for the said issue is set on the 5th of June for hearing.

Considering the problematic situation of the workers the supreme court took an automatic cognition. The court directed the Centre, States and Union Territories with notices and asked for their responses IndiaMART as they were to answer what they have perpetrated for the workers residing in their jurisdictions. While the hearing Kapil sibal, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Indira Jaisingh, Colin Gonsalves also provided their opinions.
