ABOUT

Lloyd Law College is a premier educational institution offering legal education since year 2003 in affiliation with CCS University, Meerut, U.P. (state university established in 1965), and approved by the Bar Council of India (Statutory body for professional legal education in India).

The College was blessed with the guidance, mentorship and patronage of Padma Bhushan Prof. (Dr.) N.R. Madhava Menon, the distinguished educationist and the flag bearer of legal education reforms in India. Prof. Menon was a visionary of legal education and the designer and architect of the five-year integrated B.A.LL.B. Program  in India and the Founder of the premier legal institutions of the country including the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. Recognised as the ‘Legend of Law’ and ‘Father of Modern Legal Education in India’, Prof. Menon’s relentless efforts in revamping and modernizing the legal education of the country has successfully brought Indian legal education at par with the legal institutions in the developed countries.

Lloyd Law College is strengthened by knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic faculty specialized in diverse disciplines of law to promote excellence in learning. Dedicated faculties specialized in Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual property Laws, International Law, Environmental Law, etc. and pre-law faculties for subjects like Economics, History, Sociology, English, etc. nurture the students and imbibe them with a thirst for knowledge rooted in the values of integrity and professionalism. Infrastructure

The college provides high quality, state-of-the-art infrastructure to facilitate the students and faculty members to conduct and promote quality teaching and research in a plural and diverse atmosphere. An extensive law library with electronic databases is one of the key characteristics of the College. All classrooms are ICT equipped and we have two moot court halls, e-innovation Garage, conference halls etc. The whole college is connected under a Wi-Fi network system. Our campus provides a ragging free and inclusive environment and we immensely focus on making our students a diverse group of socially conscious law graduates, rooted in the concepts of justice and equity.

GREEN CAMPUS

The college is committed to the future and more importantly to sustainable development. It has always focused on maintaining lush greenery in and around its vicinity. With an aim to reduce the global ecological footprint, and promote sustainable development, the College encourages planting and maintenance of numerous varieties of trees and medicinal plants and imparts environmental education to the students. We took a tree plantation initiative, which has witnessed plantation of trees through many eminent visitors including Chief Justice of India, justices of many high courts and luminaries of SAARC nations. The College also has birds’ area, erected as ‘machans’, an elevated bamboo platform, with water and grain for our bird visitors. The College strives to have an eco-friendly environment and is aiming to become a ‘plastic free campus’.

MOOT COURT ROOMS

Moot Court rooms are a thrust area of the Lloyd Law College. Moot court is an extra-curricular activity in the college. The College strives to integrate the theory and practice of Law in the campus through regular moot court competitions and mock trials of cases. The students are trained to improve their analytical, research, oratory and writing skills which would support them to be successful in their careers.

The College has two Moot Court Halls with total seating capacity of 250, fully furnished, air-conditioned, equipped with display boards and modern audio-video aids and eco-free.

SEMINAR HALL

Lloyd has fully media equipped with LCD Projector and HD Sound System. The hall is fully air-conditioned. It has a seating capacity of 300 The hall is used for events such as moot courts competitions, seminars, conferences, guest lectures, symposia, orientation program, convocation, etc.

LECTURE & CONFERENCE HALL

Lloyd has fully media equipped with LCD Projector and HD Sound System. The hall is fully air-conditioned. Lloyd has 3 lecture halls and total seating capacity of 450. The hall is used for events such as conferences, guest lectures, symposia, etc.

COMMON ROOM

The Common Room is one of the most heavily renovated spaces in Lloyd. It is a space for students to hold study, meetings or relax. Lloyd has common rooms for both girls and boys separately and is always bustling with students. The whole spectrum of activity are taken place by our students working on debating foreign policy, playing on the grand piano or simply having a meal with a friend. It has comfortable seating, ample desk area, fireplace and skylights; the Common Room is a warm and welcoming place, a perfect blend of fun and function.

HOSTEL FACILITY

The hostel facility is great. There are different hostels for Boys and Girls. The hostels are 5 minutes away from the campus  and buses apply for the respective hostels. The rooms are just like the ones in Hotels, fully cleaned and furnished. The security is kept in mind and full arrangements are done for comfort of the students.

Academics and faculties

  • We have classes from 9 am to 2:30pm from Monday  to  Friday and Saturday and Sunday is off.
  • Faculty is also good and helpful. Everyone is highly qualified and have their own way of teaching.
  • College offers 2 courses – B.A.LL.B and LLB.
  • Each year there are 2 semesters with 5-6 subjects in each sem.
  • Each class duration is 70 minutes and a 10 min break is given thereafter.

Administration and Fee structure

Fees is divided into parts as per semester  fees. Per semester  fee for B.A.LL.B is Rs. 90,000 without scholarships. Our college provides various scholarships for students which makes the fees per semester, less.

Scholarships are given on the basis of the academic marks in 12th and also on the basis of Entrance test which is known as LET.

Internships and Placement

  • INTERNSHIPS

Lloyd Law College arranges internship opportunities for its students wherein they get practical knowledge and a chance to absorb the wisdom of the seniors. Our students have done internships under reputed advocates and organisations including corporate firms and NGOs.

Internships play an important role during the early stages of a law student. It acts as a gateway to see the law in action. The Cell is consistent with its commitment to discovering new prospects and opportunities to cater to the most imperative demands of our students. We have a large database with the top leading employers to equip the students with the best internship opportunities all over the country based on their preferences and areas of interest.

The Committee works under the mentorship of our Director Md. Salim. It has a faculty coordinator and a student Convener. The team comprises members and volunteers who work throughout the year. Special attention is paid on the personality development of the students, right from the first year of law school to make them acquire quality legal skills and the ability to face challenges in the legal disciplines. Our Alumni Association also provides all possible assistance for internships to our students.

The placement cell plays a crucial role in locating and identifying job opportunities for budding law graduates by keeping in touch with reputed law firms, , LLPs, industries and renowned Advocates. The cell functions perennially to fulfill the demand-supply gaps of the profession. The placement statistics have been growing over the years and the college works to provide a variety of opportunities that suits the requirements of students.

  • PLACEMENT

There is a placement cell in our college. The Cell not only provides career opportunities to the students but also brings to them opportunities for fellowship, apprenticeship, etc. In order to carry forward the initiative, the cell also organizes Annual Placement in the name of Lloyd Law Job Fest wherein acclaimed recruiters from every domain visit the fest for hiring interns/associates filled with a zest of professionalism. The cell also conducts regular workshops to inculcate in them work ethics and train the students to be better legal professionals when they enter the corporate world. The Job fest is really a big event and students from other colleges also apply here.

Students and Diff activities

Many activities take place and opportunities are given to students to showcase their talent. Moots, Debates, Ngo drives etc. are held for the students. Moreover the college itself has a big National and International  Moot competition known as SAARC MOOT in which students from all over India and other countries also participate.

This year the college also organized a Big event called Catalyst in which many activities such as Dance, Band, Stand up comedy by famous comedians  etc. was there and famous celebrities such as Jass Manak, Kumar Vishwas, Olly Esse, Nizami Bandhu performed and the students and outsiders enjoyed a lot. The event became a huge success with the help of students  and the staff keeping in mind proper security for everybody.

Sports fest is also organised for the students interested and talented in sports.

Seniors and juniors all work with each other in a healthy environment and all goes well.
