Shramik trains: Railways appeal to people with comorbidities, pregnant women to avoid travel

Nine  people reported dead on may 27 over a span of 48 hours. The railways have been running on daily basis  to ensure that migrants can travel back to their homes since May 1.

On Friday made an appeal that persons with comorbidities, pregnant women, children below 10 years and senior citizens should avoid non-essential travel by trains. Earlier on Thursday, Supreme Court ordered that train or bus fare will not be charged from migrant workers .

It has been observed that those people have some health conditions. Railway services is working 24 hours so that  they can provide it to every citizens who needs to travel. On may 1 Indian railway started for migrants and on the first day, four trains operated and number was increased to 279 on 20 may and in the  last four days they have operated 260 trains and carry about 3 lakh passengers.
