Supreme Court To Hear Plea Filed By Vinod Dua Seeking Protection In FIRs Registered Against Him

On Sunday in a special sitting the Supreme Court will take up the plea filed by journalist Vinod Dua seeking protection in relation to FIRs registered against him.

Justice UU Lalit, Justice Mohan M Shantanagoudar & Justice Vineet Saran shall take up plea at 11 AM on june 15.  Dua was summoned by Shimla Police in connection with a complaint registered against him by BJP leader Ajay Shyam.

In a petition of Vinod Dua, Vinod Dua has demanded cancellation of FIRs lodged against him. He has also sought the court directions for framing of guidelines which shall be followed before registering FIR against Journalist, regarding any news.

It comes two days after the Delhi High Court order which had stayed the investigation in the FIR registered against him on a complaint made by Delhi BJP leader. 

Justice Anup Jairam Bhambhani had issued notice.
