Conference: Abuse and Harassment in Cyber Space – Beyond the Perceived Notions of Mainstream

About the Organization

The Cyber Blog India is an organisation working to create a cyber safe tomorrow for India. We run a National Award Winning blog with avid readers from across the globe. We were one of the first organisations to utilise WhatsApp as a platform for helpline and assisting the victims. In the duration that we have been operational, we have conducted 450+ workshops and webinars on internet safety, digital citizenship, cyber crime awareness, and careers in cyber space. The team has provided legal assistance and advisory services in more than 12,500 cyber crime cases, including financial frauds, blackmailing, cyber bullying, identity theft, revenge pornography, etc.

We request you to kindly help us spread the word and contribute towards making the internet a safer space for everyone. Your support is critical for us to create the right impact for the lives that we intend to touch. We believe that through your platform, we would be able to reach more people who might benefit from this conference. The details for the event are mentioned below, along with the brochure.

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The Cyber Blog India is glad to announce our 2022 Conference on ‘Abuse and Harassment in Cyber Space: Beyond the Perceived Notions of Mainstream’. We have been working endlessly to create and promote cyber security awareness among Internet users. We specialise in the area of cyber security, cyber law, and forensics. For this event, we strive to celebrate the successful culmination of the triumphant queer movement, achieved after decades of multiple revolutionary moments coming together. The event also aims to highlight the extraordinary struggles that the queer community faces online in the form of harassment or cyberbullying and the need to evolve as a society as social media evolves for the well-being and growth of the queer community.

We hope to bring together diverse voices and stories and to appreciate the true nature of inclusivity and visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community. Moreover, we want to engage with the members of the community and hear them share their daily struggles, hopes, and expectations from society, law, and aid providers like us.
