Galgotias University is a private university in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).Mr. Kandarp Ashutosh is the President of Galgotias Educational Institutions.Dhruv Galgotia is the CEO while Dr. Preeti Bajaj is the Vice Chancellor of the Foundation.In February 2014, the university received award from Prime Minister for top ranking university in academics and Global Linkages.In September 2016, the university received award for best performance and placements by Akhilesh Yadav (then Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh).

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

The Galgotia University (GU) was established by Uttar Pradesh’s government in 2011 and is approved by the UGC, AIU, Bar Council of India, AICTE, Council of Architecture and so on. Galgotia University’s vision is to be globally known for value-based education, research, creativity and innovation. Galgotia University’s overarching purpose is to impart practical skills and theoretical knowledge to its students in all subject areas. It has advanced IT facilities with adequate systems loaded with licence Operating System and software package. The internet facility is one of its prominent feature. The entire campus has Broadband Internet connection fast internet connectivity plays an important role in facilitating the academic as well as research and development activities for the faculty and students at the institute.
• Cafeteria : Galgotia University has a well ventilated, spacious centrally-located dining hall and cafeteria that provide wholesome to all students. The dining hall is managed by professional staff that provide hygienic and fresh vegetarian food. The cafeteria offers a good menu of multi cuisine delights, admist a lively, jolly atmosphere. ACADEMICS AND FACULTIES

• We have classes from 8:30am to 5:30 from Monday to Friday and Saturday is off.
• Faculty is very good.
• We have well qualified faculty. Everyone is very good at teaching. They are always ready to help and answer our queries.
• University offers BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCOM LLB, LLB, LLM and PhD courses.
• We have semester system with about 6 – 7 subjects in each semester.
•  The class duration is around 50 minutes; the time might fluctuate according to the faculty, but rarely.

Personally, I feel few faculty members are very informative about the subject and experts in the skill of teaching and clearing the concept.Whereas most of the faculty guide other than the academics i.e., research, moot, articles etc.Checking is strict and relation with the teachers does not affect the evaluation of the test papers.

ADMINISTRATION AND FEES STRUCTURE :

Fees for 3 Year and the 5-year course is close to INR 60,000 – 1,00,000 per year. The option of payment via electronic way or cheque as well as an option to pay semester wise.

• Galgotias University organized a one-day Online workshop on Practical and Procedural Aspects of Laws on 14th May, 2020.
