SC Permits Interaction Of Party-In-Person With Registrar Through Video Conferencing Mode

The Supreme Court has issued a circular on Friday permitting the interaction of Party-in Person with the Registrar through Video Conferencing mode too. The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Party-in-Person and the Registry for hearing of Matters through Video Conferencing/Teleconferencing before the Registrars in Office has also been published in the Supreme Court official website. The Allahabad High Court while overruling the judgment of trial court held in the criminal appeal filed by Balbir and others against judgment and order passed by Sri D.C. Srivastava, Judge Special Court (Dacoity), Kanpur Dehat in State vs. Balbir and others, convicting appellants under Section 395 IPC read with 397 IPC that in absence
