Injunction to 50 rogue websites infringing Snapdeal Trademark

The Delhi High Court had granted an injunction in favour to e-commerce company Snapdeal in relation to 50 rogue websites which were infringing their registered trademark under the case Snapdeal Pvt Ltd vs Snapdealluckydraws.org.in &Ors.)

The order was passed by Justice Rajiv Shakdher as single bench. The Court also permitted liberty approach to array other rogue website who carry on similar activities and when the same comes into notice.

Snapdeal stated that this rogue website did not harm their goodwill and brand equity. The risk was consumer were made fools and looted. Hence, the Delhi HC order an injunction to all websites.
