Two judges of the Supreme Court said in one voice – the need for immediate improvement in the study of law in the country

Two judges of the Supreme Court have stated the need for immediate reform in the study of law in the country. According to these two judges, due to the glut of law colleges, the quality of the law has decreased significantly. Justice SK Kaul said that we are preparing many lawyers every year without considering our needs. The level of law studies has dropped due to the opening of indiscriminate law colleges in the country. The need of the hour is to improve the study of law.

Similar views were expressed by senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi. Justice NV Ramanna agreed with the views of Justice Kaul and advocate Singhvi, saying that it is very important to focus on improving the condition of legal studies. I think something can be done about this.

We will take up this issue in the coming days. Both these judges expressed their views in a virtual program organized by Abhishek Manu Singhvi and Professor Khagesh Gautam at the release of the book “The Law of Emergency Powers.” by Prof. Gautam of Jindal Global Law School.
