Law School Review : Know About Sharda University, Greater Noida

I am Deepanjali Singh student of Sharda University.I am pursuing BBA LLB (2018-2023) batch.I am being registered there as 2nd year student (4 semester)

Sharda University is a Private university in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, India, established through an act of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh (14 of 2009). It is registered under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 by University and Grants Commission.The campus of Sharda University is 63 acres more than that of Amity or any other college in Delhi NCR.

Infrastructure

With a massive area the university has maintained it’s recognition .All the schools are fully furnished with proper air conditioner seeking proper comfort of all students .There is accommodation facility of approx 3200 students who can reside at hostels and transportation facility for day scholars .There are plausible moot Court for law student , the need of all sort of laboratories required by medical student are taken care of .At several points there are various food joints to make the environment of University acceptable for students .

Schools

There are 13 schools pertaining to UG and PG courses.I belong to the School of Law which is accomplished by providing LLB and LLM courses and also includes integrated five year course for Sr.secondary student .

Events

There are various scheduled events that take place in this University.Every year an event is organised named as Chorus ,which a three day event wholly 72 hours is full of enthusiasm and joy as in day times different sports and games are held and at night there is at big scale DJ night .

And personally being a law student ,we are acknowledged with various events as

• Intra moot Court competition
• Mock Parliament
• Legal quiz
• Singing,dancing competition and various curricular activities are encouraged.

Fee structure.

As this is a private University the fee structure is quite expensive then normal colleges .The annual fees of each course is counted in lakh,no penny is less than this .The fees includes every kind of charges that is needed by University for it’s development.

                                               Internship.

I have done summer internship in June 2019 at Boys observation home Prayas situated at Delhi gate .It is a short stay home for juveniles in conflict with law There I have interned for almost one month and I had a great experience while being in amidst of those children who are less than 18 yrs of age .All the juveniles are governed there by Juvenile Justice Act and they also have separate court to deal with their matters .Between the period of their stay they are provided with all sort of vocational education and are taught several music instrument and sports .They are kept there with a intention to reform  and bereft them of all evils that had followed them so far.I was made to learn several laws and acts through which they are governed and to study the background of those children as to what made

them bound to do so .Whole span of one month was an enlightening session for me to acquaint with the situation that not every child is leading a silver spoon life ,there are lot more grievous situation than we leading a casual life could ever imagine .
